Welcome to the last week of project #5!  

Hi kids! 🙋 Today we will start working on the FINAL OUTCOME of this project. 🙌

You will have to invent your own giant, create a memorama in which you will include two (2) different looks (one scruffy look and one smart look) and you will describe both the physical aspect and the personality of your giant. You will present your final outcome orally during the last class of the week and show your memorama to the class.

We will divide the final outcome in 3 parts:

• PART 1: Creation of the MEMORAMA. 🎨

• PART 2: Description of the GIANT. 📙🖊

• PART 3: Oral presentation. 📢

Today we will work with PART 1: Creation of the MEMORAMA. 🎨

👀 WATCH the following tutorial video which explains how to create your MEMORAMA using only a few materials. 😊👉 MEMORAMA TUTORIAL

🎨 It is important that you INCLUDE two different looks in your memorama: one scruffy look and one smart look. You can choose any clothes and decorate them as you want. 

🎨 Remember to include three (3) cardboard rolls to be able to change the clothes and the shoes.

As this activity will close the project, it is important that you do it soon because you will need it to continue working on parts 2 and 3.

Hoy les voy a proponer seguir jugando y practicando con fracciones, van a unir con flechas de distintos colores la cantidad de porciones que tiene cada niño y luego van a pensar y resolver qué fracción forman si juntan las porciones de Gabi y Maruca.

Y en Prácticas del lenguaje vamos a trabajar en Meet: ¡Un poco de ortografía!

Y Ciencias Sociales, van a descubrir en un rompecabezas el obsequio muy especial del pueblo mapuche que le entregó a Don José de San Martín.

 VISUALIZING AND ILLUSTRATING

Hi kids!  🙋

Today we will  work with one very interesting concept from the Oxford Discover book: VISUALIZATION. We will work with Unit 6, page 57. 

Do you know what “VISUALIZING” is??  Read the definition on exercise D and solve the exercise. 👇

It’s easy, right? 👌 Visualizing is making pictures in your head 💭while you read or listen to something.

Today we will visualize an extra scene from the Smartest Giant in Town.  LISTEN to the audio as many times as you need and CREATE a picture of that scene in your mind.

Now, do you remember Axel Scheffler? He is the ILLUSTRATOR of The Gruffalo and The Smartest Giant in Town. He always visualizes the story before creating the drawings that we later see in the books. So, after listening to the audio, you will pretend you are illustrators! You have to MAKE A DRAWING 🎨 of that scene in the copybook. We will compare your ILLUSTRATIONS in Meet. 

Do you think you will all make the same drawings?? We’ll see!
